How it started:

Rock E. Mangus Founder of MHCF & Cancer Survivor was diagnosed with terminal colon cancer in February 1993. Now as a survivor, he is dedicated to helping those dealing with cancer by providing direct financial assistance. Since November of 1994, MHCF is one of the less than 5% of cancer charities in the U.S. that provides

direct financial assistance to cancer patients of all ages and all cancers.

In addition to providing direct financial assistance to cancer patients, Rock felt that there was another area where MHCF could be of assistance in supporting cancer patients and their families such as the Rock E. Mangus Cancer Survivors Scholarship Fund for those wanting to go to college.
